VelociPost - Privacy Policy
At this time, VelociPost does not require a user account and does not collect your email address or password to use the app. We do process the prompts, images, logos, and other creative materials you submit, along with certain device, usage, and technical data needed to run the service, enforce limits, prevent abuse, and support subscriptions.
Effective Date: March 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VelociPost (“VelociPost,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the VelociPost mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
(a) Content you provide. This includes prompts, instructions, uploaded images, logos, creative directions, template field entries, and other materials you submit when generating or refining posts.
(b) Generated and saved content. We process and may temporarily store generated HTML, design outputs, render data, saved post metadata, and related materials needed to provide the Service. Depending on the feature, some of this information may be stored locally on your device.
(c) Device and technical information. We may collect information such as app version, operating system version, crash and error details, request metadata, App Check or similar integrity signals, and a persistent device-related identifier or hashed device identifier used for quota tracking, abuse prevention, and reliability.
(d) Usage information. We may collect information about how you use the Service, such as generation requests, refine requests, export actions, timestamps, quota state, paywall presentation events, restore actions, and operational diagnostics.
(e) Subscription information. If you purchase or restore a subscription, we may receive information necessary to determine your entitlement status, such as subscription product identifiers, original transaction identifiers, renewal or expiration status, and related App Store purchase metadata. Apple processes billing and payment information directly; we do not receive your full payment card number.
(f) Support communications. If you contact us for support, we may collect the information you choose to provide in your message, including attachments and contact details you voluntarily share.
2. What We Do Not Collect
VelociPost does not currently require account creation to use the app. As a result, we do not collect a username-password account for ordinary use of the app, and we do not require your email address or password to generate content.
We also do not receive your full payment card information for App Store subscriptions because Apple handles those transactions. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
(a) operate the Service and generate or refine your requested content;
(b) render, store, and let you save or export your posts;
(c) maintain app settings, saved drafts, local history, and device continuity;
(d) enforce free-tier limits, subscription entitlements, fair-use protections, and abuse prevention controls;
(e) monitor reliability, diagnose errors, improve performance, and secure the Service;
(f) process restore flows and validate subscription status;
(g) respond to support requests, comply with law, and enforce our terms; and
(h) improve the quality, safety, and operation of the Service.
We may combine different categories of information for these purposes.
4. How the Service Processes Your Content
To generate outputs, VelociPost sends your prompts and any selected creative assets through its backend services and processing pipeline. Depending on the feature, this may include secure proxying, cloud processing, model inference, rendering, quota checks, abuse monitoring, and local device storage.
Because the Service is designed to generate social media content from your instructions and assets, the content you submit is an essential part of how the Service works. If you do not want prompts, images, or logos processed for this purpose, do not upload them or use the generation features.
5. On-Device Storage
Certain information may be stored locally on your device to make the app function well and to preserve your work. This may include drafts, saved posts, thumbnails, generated HTML, image assets, export preferences, quality settings, and similar app state data.
Local storage on your device may remain until you delete it in the app, remove the app, clear related device storage, or otherwise delete the underlying files. If you save images to your Photos library, those copies are controlled by you and your device permissions.
6. Service Providers and Third Parties
We may share or make information available to service providers and infrastructure partners that help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting, backend infrastructure, analytics, error monitoring, subscription processing, and artificial intelligence processing providers. Examples may include Apple for App Store subscriptions and Google or Firebase infrastructure used to power generation, backend, storage, or security features.
We may also disclose information:
(a) if required by law, subpoena, court order, or similar legal process;
(b) to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of VelociPost, our users, or others;
(c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction; or
(d) with your direction or consent.
7. Legal Basis and Use by Region
If laws in your region require a legal basis for processing, our bases may include: performing our contract with you by operating the Service you request; our legitimate interests in securing, maintaining, improving, and supporting the Service; compliance with legal obligations; and, where required, your consent.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate rights and permissions for any personal data, images, or third-party content you upload into the Service.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, enforce terms, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and operate the business. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information, whether it is stored locally on your device, operational needs, legal requirements, or whether you have an active subscription or support issue.
Some content and settings may remain on your device until you delete them. Server-side logs, usage records, diagnostics, and abuse-prevention data may be retained for a longer period where reasonably necessary for reliability, compliance, or security.
9. International Data Transfers
VelociPost and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your country of residence. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, subject to applicable legal requirements.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, backend processing, and security features intended to reduce misuse of the Service. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You should also protect your own device, operating system, and local files, especially if you save generated content or uploaded assets to your device or photo library.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the ordinary use of the Service. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
If a higher age threshold applies in your jurisdiction for digital consent, that higher threshold may also apply.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, or withdrawal of consent for certain processing. Because VelociPost currently does not rely on a standard email-password account system for normal use, we may need additional information from you to verify a request and identify relevant data.
You may also:
(a) delete saved posts, drafts, or assets within the app where available;
(b) remove app data from your device by deleting the app or related local files;
(c) manage subscription settings through your App Store account; and
(d) stop using the Service at any time.
To exercise privacy rights, contact us using the information below.
13. Do Not Track and Similar Signals
Because mobile apps and backend systems do not always support browser-based Do Not Track standards in a consistent way, VelociPost does not currently promise to respond to every browser-based Do Not Track signal. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by updating the effective date, posting the revised policy, or providing notice within the app or through other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
